THE GODS ARE LOOKING DOWN ON US | Kunsthalle “Kunst im Turm” | Lippstadt

Solo exhibition

Exhibition duration: April 27 –  May 26 2024

Printed paper, originating from newspapers and magazines, has always inspired and animated artists. The collages of the DADA movement, especially those of Kurt Schwitters, the Surrealists, the Russian Constructivists and the early Cubists are omnipresent today. The starting point for this exhibition is a large archive of originals that a Rhineland art collector has amassed over the years. 9 artists were asked to draw inspiration for their art from the newspaper cuttings provided.
