In spring 2026, Miriam Vlaming will be represented with her work WOMAN INSANE (2013) in the exhibition I’VE NEVER BEEN AFRAID OF BEAUTY! THE DIRK LEHR COLLECTION at the Mannheim Kunstverein.
The exhibition provides the first comprehensive insight into the collection of Heidelberg-born Dirk Lehr, who acquired his first work of art over 35 years ago as a schoolboy and has since built up a remarkable collection of contemporary art. His collection does not follow a fixed concept and is not based on trends – rather, Lehr is guided by curiosity, stories and the context of the works. His collection spans from the 1960s to the present day. Works by artists such as Andy Warhol and Robert Rauschenberg are on an equal footing with works by young artists.
